Q: What is Stoma Safe? 

A: Stoma Safe is a lightweight shell that sticks to the outside of your bag with velcro and protects your stoma from life’s daily knocks and bumps. It covers your stoma area and is hard enough to absorb usual forces.  

Q: What’s it made of? 

A: Stoma Safe is made with a bioplastic which has been produced from renewable resources. It is manufactured in Ireland and distributed worldwide. 

Q: What sizes can I buy?                                  
A: Stoma Safe comes in 1 adult size and many colours. The Junior version is 25% smaller and also comes in many colours. 

Q: Will your products affect my stoma from functioning? 
A: No, it doesn’t restrict the flow of output to your bag and it won’t touch your stoma when the bag fills and moves around. If you have any stoma or medical worries, please consult a medical professional. 

Q: Can it be worn with my hernia? 
A: Yes, it will protect your stoma even if you have a hernia. In fact there is a greater need for Stoma Safe if you have a hernia because your stoma will stick out, making it more vulnerable to impacts.  

Q: How long is it safe for me to wear it? 
A: It can be worn 24/7 and especially beneficial if you sleep on your tummy as it prevents your stoma from being squashed.  

Q: What happens when I change my bag? 
A: When you change your bag you use a pair of spare velcro strips to attach the Stoma Safe to your fresh bag. Peel off 2 spare strips and place them onto the velcro hooks on your Stoma Safe with the sticky side facing outwards. Then place the Stoma Safe over your stoma and press lightly for a few seconds while it sticks to the outside of your bag. It’s very easy to do and takes less than a minute. Stoma Safe comes with 50 pairs of spare velcro strips and more can be purchased if needed.

Q: I’ve got a 2-piece bag. Can I still wear a Stoma Safe? 

A: Yes, the Stoma Safe can be worn with any type of bag (1 or 2 piece) and with any manufacturer (Eg. Hollister, Coloplast, ConvaTec etc). 

Q: How do I care for Stoma Safe? 

A: Hand wash the Stoma Safe with warm water and mild soap and allow it to air dry before storing it in a dry, cool place. Avoid using hot water or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the material.

Q: I've not received my order, what can I do?

Q: Do you accept returns? 
A: Yes, we accept returns if they are returned to us within 30 days of purchase, in their original condition and packaging. 
 
Q: Can I return a faulty item? 
A: If there is a fault or error made on our part, then we will accept the returned goods and cover additional delivery costs. 
 
Q: How do I return an item to you? 
A: Follow the Amazon returns procedure. If you purchased a Stoma Safe from our website, email us at info@stomasafe.eu and tell us your name, order number and reason for your return within 30 days and we will send you the return instructions. As soon as your return has been received, we will arrange for a refund or exchange.
